Amazon UK launches MP3 store

Amazon UK just launched their MP3 store.

Tracks are encoded at 256 kbps bitrate, are DRM-free, include artwork and can be pre-listened to in high quality.

Album downloads require the installation of the Amazon MP3 downloader, which is available for Windows, MacOS and multiple Linux distributions (nice touch!).

A few clicks reveal a good selection from day one. About 10,000 Hard Rock/Metal albums, what else do you need? ;) A lot of albums are discounted, probably to help launch the service : Amon Amarth's latest for £6.99, hell yeah!

It doesn't get any easier than this... except I'm not in the UK and I can't buy.
